Roof Artificial Turf Installation Steps

(1) Adhesive Application: Once the trimming of the rooftop artificial turf is complete, apply the adhesive. Before application, ensure the turf is thoroughly dry and meets the necessary moisture requirements for bonding. The adhesive must be applied at a uniform speed without repeated layering, and the application sequence should be consistent to prevent unevenness in height.

(2) Turf Bonding: Adhere the seaming tape along the designated guide lines onto the underlying base fabric. Subsequently, align the edges of the artificial turf sections with the guide lines and bond them firmly to the seaming tape, ensuring a flat and secure attachment.

(3) Cutting and Splicing: Use specialized tools-such as a line cutter or rotary cutter-to trim and cut the edges of the artificial turf. Ensure that all cut sections are uniform in size, then splice them together; the gap between adjacent seams should be less than 2mm.

(4) Seam Bonding: Apply adhesive to the turf seams to bond them together; every seam between adjacent turf sections must be secured using seaming tape.

(5) Compaction: Use a specialized turf compactor to compress the seams, ensuring they are flat, secure, and tightly bonded.

(6) Installation and Inspection: During installation, ensure that the laying direction of all turf sections is consistent, and that the orientation of the individual grass fibers is uniform throughout the area. Upon completion of the installation, conduct a thorough site inspection to verify that the laid turf surface is flat and free from any loose threads or detached grass fibers.
